Online Lessons
Both English and Spanish courses are offered 100% online and self-paced. Lessons consist of reading material, concept checks, review questions, and tests. All coursework must be completed by the end of the quarter.
The program can be started at any time throughout the year. A quarter begins as soon as the student makes the 1st quarter payment. We recommend using a laptop or computer, however tablets and smartphones are also supported.
English Program
Courses are offered through NCCERConnect. Students will create a separate login to access the material.
www.nccerconnect.com →Spanish Program
Courses are offered through CORP. Students will receive login credentials at the beginning of their quarter.
ceticlasses.com →Lab Classes
Students are required to schedule, sign up, and attend one lab every quarter. Labs are included in the cost of the program. We recommend scheduling your lab early in the quarter as spots fill up quickly.
- Students must notify CET at least 10 days before the scheduled date if they cannot attend.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late or leaving more than 15 minutes early will result in no credit for the lab.
- Students must sign in AND out on the lab roster to receive credit.
- Pants and close-toed shoes are required at all lab classes.
- If you have more quarters assigned than labs completed, you must complete 2 make-up labs per quarter ($100 each) until caught up.
Quizzes & Grading
Online Quizzes
Students have 3 attempts to pass. If still not passed, contact CET to get it reset. After 3 more attempts, you must schedule an appointment with an instructor. If still not passed after that, you must repay for the quarter and start over.
Onsite Quizzes
Students have 1 hour to complete the quiz. If not passed, you may stay through lunch or after class with instructor assistance for 30 additional minutes. If still unable to pass, a $50 fee applies to retake the class.
Webinar Quizzes
Students have 1 hour to complete the quiz. If not passed, contact CET office staff on the next business day. Failure to contact will result in a $25 late quiz fee.
Any grade disputes must be reported to CET within 14 days of the course end date.
Academic Probation & Drop
Academic Probation
A student will be placed on Academic Probation if they have not completed all requirements by the end of their quarter. Reasons include:
- Coursework has not been completed for the current quarter.
- The required lab was not scheduled by the end of the quarter.
- The next quarter was not paid for by the checkout date.
- A monthly payment was not made within the grace period (due date + 2 days).
Full payment students: Probation begins 2 days after the checkout date if the next quarter has not been paid.
Monthly payment students: Probation begins if a monthly payment is not received by its due date plus the 2-day grace period.
While on probation, students will not be issued a Renewal Letter for their ET card. A $50 probation fee applies ($100 if placed on probation more than once within a year).
Dropped Status
Students who do not resolve their probation will be dropped from the program:
- Full payment: 31 days after the probation date.
- Monthly payments: 31 days after the checkout date (not the probation date).
Once dropped, students lose access to all CET resources and the Department of Industrial Relations will be notified. Students dropped more than once must be approved by the CET board of directors for reinstatement.
Reinstatement
Students who have been dropped have 1 year to reinstate and continue in the program with a $100 reinstatement fee. After paying, students will receive a reinstatement letter and ET form to send to the DIR.
Once reinstated, students have 31 days to become compliant in the program. If still not compliant, they will be dropped again.
Students dropped for 1 year or longer must restart the program from the beginning, paying all applicable fees.
